Moto Goodness

GOODNESS-as defined by the Random House Dictionary: excellence of quality; goodness of workmanship; the best of anything; essence; strength. To be forthright, it's only been in recent years that this obsession of "MOTO" has truly manifest, but the love is genuine. Motorbikes, Aeroplanes, Automobiles and all that is designed, built and driven to perform is appreciated.

Star Trek & Sci Fi

STAR TREK (The Original Series) was the beginning of a life-long, love of Science Fiction and Science Fact and all other things of a Fantastic Nature. Whether it was Comic Books, Live-Action Television, Motion Pictures or Animated Cartoons, the media did not matter, as long as it was a means to transverse space and time ... or alter reality.

Hammer of the Gods

THE HAMMER OF THE GODS A metaphor for music, how it can forge, shape and mold our lives. A means to transport and transform. I'm not a musical scholar or theorist. Simply, someone who has played and listened to quite a bit of music.  Just a bloke who knows what he likes and dislikes. Also, I'm a bass player, so expect a lot of attention paid to the bottom end!

McKee's Sky Ranch: All Brands Motorcycle Event 2014

For the third consecutive year, I have had the pleasure of doing t-shirts for this event, Mckee's Sky Ranch: All- Brands Motorcycle Event ( last year it was Wings & Wheels), the design was upon photos by Karl Jarvis of Jarvis Photographic Services. Tom and Debbie Mckee are some of the most pleasant people to work with who have a vision of promoting vintage motorcycle racing and the appreciation on vintage motorcycles in general. I can't help but want to be a part of what they doing when I hear their enthusiasm about this event. Unfortunately, once again, I won't be able to be there in person, but if you can make that way, then by all means go!!

The event takes place over 4 days, July 24th-27th and includes riding, racing, displays and a swap meet. AHRMA sanctioned races are held on the 26th and 27th. It all takes place on McKee's Sky Ranch located in Terra Alta, WV. Eventually, and hopefully next year, I will have a chance to make it out there!

Matchless Brand

One of Britain's oldest motorcycle companies, Matchless, was bought by the previous owners of the Belstaff brand. A brand which they elevated for biker outfitters to high-end, chic biker inspired luxury apparel. Matchless hasn't produce a motorbike since 1966, but the new owners again invading the fashion runways with a line of clothes and wears bearing the Matchless name.

Although they are not making any new bikes, a visit to their website displays that they haven't forgotten the heritage of the marque. All of these image were found there.

BSA ZB34 Custom by Rick Booth

Birmingham Small Arms Company, from firearms to motorbikes and a quite a few other things in between. BSA Motorcycles LTD, 1919-1972.

Rites of Spring

Rites of Spring, one my all-time favorite bands...Spring, my time of year....Springer front end, on of the coolest of motorcycle features.

I had a feeling from end to end.

Tried to catch it before it started again.

Pushed it away to force a laugh,

But inside I didn't have the breath.

And oh-it feels so strange - when it comes again.

But I've got it now,

I've got the rhythm down.

Cycles of end on end.

But if one wave stops, another begins.

Rites of Spring-"End on End"
