Moto Goodness

GOODNESS-as defined by the Random House Dictionary: excellence of quality; goodness of workmanship; the best of anything; essence; strength. To be forthright, it's only been in recent years that this obsession of "MOTO" has truly manifest, but the love is genuine. Motorbikes, Aeroplanes, Automobiles and all that is designed, built and driven to perform is appreciated.

Star Trek & Sci Fi

STAR TREK (The Original Series) was the beginning of a life-long, love of Science Fiction and Science Fact and all other things of a Fantastic Nature. Whether it was Comic Books, Live-Action Television, Motion Pictures or Animated Cartoons, the media did not matter, as long as it was a means to transverse space and time ... or alter reality.

Hammer of the Gods

THE HAMMER OF THE GODS A metaphor for music, how it can forge, shape and mold our lives. A means to transport and transform. I'm not a musical scholar or theorist. Simply, someone who has played and listened to quite a bit of music.  Just a bloke who knows what he likes and dislikes. Also, I'm a bass player, so expect a lot of attention paid to the bottom end!

Twin Shadow: Ton Up Tour

I first saw this image on the Ton Up Garage Facebook page, I immediately recongized the artwork of Gianmarco Magnani (see previous article), but I was unfamilar with the moniker, Twin Shadow. So i decided to find who or what Twin Shadow is. Twin Shadow is the performing name for musician George Lewis, Jr. He is about to embark on a U.S. tour and is offering a pre-sale bundle that includes ticket and a t-shirt with the above graphic! Pretty nifty, eh, well it gets better he also did a video for his song "Five Seconds", that features him surfing on his very own Triumph Bonneville! The album is entitled "Confess" and will be released July 10 on 4AD records.

Suffolk Shakedown Run

My buddy Jason asked if I wanted to go for a ride this evening. Turns out his friend, Eddie had just put his bike (the Triumph Scrambler) back together after tearing it down to get everything in order. He found the bike on Craig's List, it was listed as having been wrecked and the front end needed work, but the seller assured that the frame was straight. After a tear down, he saw where the frame had been welded back together. He had not ridden the bike over 40 mph yet, so he wanted to see how it handled at highway speeds. So we took the Western Freeway out to Suffolk and hit some back roads. A bit windy out and the temperature dropped considerably, I could have worn my leather! Eddie took us on some roads in the Peanut City that I was unfamiliar with, nice evening ride! Anyway, turns out he had a little "head shake" on his bike, be felt confident he could get it sorted out. Good luck with that, hope to ride we you again, soon.
